The purpose of the breakaway cable is to apply the brakes if the mobile catering trailer becomes separated from it's towing vehicle.
Having done this, the cable assembly is designed to part, allowing the mobile catering trailer to come to a halt away from the towing vehicle.
Cable may be plastic coated.
